This dish is a favorite of mine. It’s so easy and quick to make which is an added bonus.
Quick Chinese Pepper Steak
- 1lb. round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
- 2 tbs. oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green pepper, sliced
- 1 envelope Ehlers Au Jus Gravy Mix
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 cups hot cooked rice
Cut meat in half lengthwise with a sharp knife, then crosswise into thin slices. Cook meat, onion and pepper in skillet in hot oil until meat is browned. Stir in remaining ingredients except rice. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve over rice. Makes 4 servings.
